Alessi is the name of the well-known Italian design brand by Alberto Alessi, founded in Italy in 1921 by Giovanni Alessi. When designing Tonale, the architect and designer David Chipperfield was inspired by traditional East Asian ceramics and the works of the painter Giorgio Morandi. The table service Tonale brings together a large number of components such as plates, mugs, cups, pots with lids, bowls and bowls made of earthenware, as well as a carafe with glasses, hand-blown in Murano. The Tonale, like Morandi's work, has a pleasant and calming effect on the fine nuanced composition of the colors. Reduced shapes, finely tuned color values and high-quality materials. The tableware impresses with its simplicity and feel.David Chipperfield is considered the architect of large city projects as well as small family houses. He has been self-employed since 1984 and founded the architectural firm David Chipperfield Architects. Today he has offices in London, Berlin and Milan as well as a representative office in Shanghai. In Berlin he became known to the public with projects such as the reconstruction of the New Museum and the Berlin Museum Island. In 2009, Queen Elisabeth knighted Chipperfield, honoring his achievements as an architect.
