Michele De Lucchi is an Italian designer and architect. He was one of the closest collaborators and friends of Ettore Sottsass and co-founder of the movement Alchimia and Memphis Group, which experimental architecture concepts directed against the former design establishment. He designed, among other products for companies as Olivetti, Artemide, Valli Columbo and Pelikan. In his designs, Michele De Lucchi tries to avoid 'clean' and 'elegant'. In 1990 he founded the manufactory "Produzione Privata'' with Sibylle Kicherer - a small company that produce handcrafted unique products. Read less
